Email notifications

Which emails Elula sends, who gets them, and how to turn them off.

Elula emails you when something needs your attention: a deploy fails, someone asks for access, or a payment doesn't go through. Routine successful deploys don't send email.

What you get

KindWho gets itWhen
Deploys and job runsThe person who deployed, and the app's ownerA deploy or PR preview fails. An app's first deploy succeeds, or it comes back after a failed deploy. A job run fails.
Access requestsThe app's owner, and workspace owners and adminsSomeone asks to collaborate on an app, or to make an app public. The person who asked hears whether it was approved or declined.
Team changesThe person affected; owners and admins when someone joins with the team email domainYour role changes, a member's apps are handed to you, someone accepts your invite, or someone joins with the team email domain.
Security scansThe app's ownerA scan finds critical or high vulnerabilities, or possible leaked secrets.
Workspace and Google CloudWorkspace ownersGoogle Cloud is connected, disconnected or fails its check. The team domain is verified. A deleted workspace is restored.
BillingOwners and billing managersThe subscription is cancelled, or an overdue payment goes through.

You don't get an email about something you did yourself, such as changing your own role.

Always sent

These go out even if you've turned the related kind off, because they are about losing access, data or service:

  • A payment failed, and a reminder 2 days before deploys pause because of it.
  • The subscription ended.
  • The workspace was deleted (to every member), and a reminder to owners 1 day before it's erased.
  • You were removed from a workspace.

Turn emails off

Open Account in the dashboard and use the switches under Email notifications. Each kind is on until you turn it off.

Every email also has a link at the bottom to stop that kind of email. The link opens a page with an Unsubscribe button, so a mail scanner opening the link doesn't unsubscribe you. Mail apps that show their own unsubscribe button use the same setting.

Emails go to the address on your Google account.
